8. Hearing Aids are not the Only Thing We Do!

Yes, hearing aids are the main focus of our office, but they are definitely not the only thing we know!  Our Audiology Technician, Tim Kennedy, has a hearing loss (in fact, he started as a patient of our office and did not want to leave!) and has tremendous knowledge in assistive listening devices, such as amplified telephones, infrared television systems and frequency-modulation (FM) systems.  Since he was a musician and worked in the acoustics field before joining our staff, he has a breadth of knowledge when it comes to sound in general.  As a result of his noise exposure from music, he suffers from tinnitus (ringing in the ears) and has a special interest in tinnitus management. Tim is adept at in-office hearing aid repairs so he will make every attempt to service and repair your hearing aids in our office.  If the problem is beyond his capabilities, he will send your unit out for repair.  If necessary, he can set you up with a “loaner” hearing aid while yours is being repaired.

The majority of our hearing aid purchases include our Complete Hearing Health Care (CHHC) program.  This program entitles you to 5 years of professional office visits, 5 years of hearing aid batteries, and extended repair warranties (model dependant) at no extra charge! Unlike other “hearing aid offices” that sell you and hope you never come back, we are vested in your success, and WANT YOU to come back every 6 months for routine check-ups so we can ensure proper hearing benefit.  In fact, if you don’t come back in, we call you to find out why we have not seen you.  We employ a “Patient Recall Specialist” who’s sole job is to contact you to make sure you are satisfied with our professional care and are getting the most out of your hearing aid devices.  She will contact you 24 hours after your hearing aid fitting, and after every hearing aid problem appointment.  We are committed to your success, and if you are not satisfied, we want to know about it so we can do our best to resolve the issue.
